Winter in Scotland.

Family Matters.

Short stories and verses from the imaginations and memories of Drew Grozier of Queensland and Beth Munn of Dunipace, Scotland. Drew's heart may be in Caledonia but the mind and body are firmly placed in the here and now of the Darling Downs of Australia.

Drew's father was a teller of tales and some are published here after they were broadcast on  steam radio. Stories such as The Hunchy and Tam Bain's Lum are from his coal miner faither's telling. Usually told  from his seat closest to the fire, a whisky in hand and friends and family in attendance to top up his glass when his stories seeemd to be about to stop. Somewhere in the chequered Grozier past of coal miners (blessed be their memory), shoemakers, naval heroes, tinkers and rogues (the author fits this role) was a sennachie, a teller of tales, a Gaelic Bard casting his spell over the clan as auld Andra Grozier did over his family.
